Hi, I’m Isacc Shah.
PaddleTestLab exists because I got burned twice buying paddles off spec sheets. Both times, the glowing reviews I trusted turned out to be rewritten press releases. So I started doing the homework properly – digging through verified owner reviews, checking claims against independent data, and writing down what the evidence actually says. This site is that homework, cleaned up.
How this site works
Every paddle, racket, and pair of court shoes reviewed here goes through the same process: hundreds of verified owner reviews read and filtered, manufacturer claims cross-checked against independent sources, and expert testing cited where it exists. The full method is on the Our Review Process page – including exactly where our verdicts come from.
We cover both pickleball and padel. That’s rare among gear sites, and it’s why there’s a whole Padel section here alongside the pickleball reviews.
What you won’t find
Scores copied from other sites. Verdicts that just reword a press release. Or a “best paddles” list where every pick happens to carry the highest affiliate payout.
How the site makes money
PaddleTestLab earns through affiliate links and advertising – the details are on the Affiliate Disclosure page. The short version: no brand gets to buy a good review. If the owner data says a paddle disappoints, we say so, commission or not.
